Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. ― Edith Sitwell
Gosh, November's here and it doesn't really feel like November because in my part of the world (UK), it's been unseasonably mild. However, it will change (already has a little) and that's okay - I love the distinct change of the seasons that we experience here.
So for November, I chose a picture from my favourite magazine Country Living and then penned my goals, dreams and what I would like to welcome into my life this month.
The quote above really resonates with me and I found it after having chosen the above image for my journal. It kind of sums up a lot of what I'm seeking in my life this month.
You can see from the photo above and my written thoughts, that I'm wanting to slow down a little. I'm craving getting 'back to basics' with the food I eat, the way I enjoy my family, being cosy now the temperature is dipping, taking time for prayer and reflection and really, the whole idea of 'hunkering down' over the winter.
Some of my goals include making more art, starting on a book (okay I've said it now), painting our living room (with my Dad), adding more content to my website, continuing to eat healthier and enjoying down time with our boys and my husband.
Over to you - what's on your heart for November? What would you like to accomplish or beckon into your life this November - I'd love to hear from you...
